Knights of Columbus

Santa Maria Council #2829 had another great year.  The KofC Free Throw Challenge is open to all boys and girls between the ages of 10 to 14.  There were nine Council winners and five District 11 winners for this contest.

The boys representing our council had a great year.  The 10 year boys’ council winner was Jeb Wall who hit 6 out of 15 free throws.  The 12 year old boys’ council winner was Brett Knorr who hit 11 out of 15.  The 13 year old boys’ council winner was Ivan Krizan who hit 12 out of 15.  Ivan was also the District winner for his age group by hitting 22 out of 25 free throws.  Brett Reynolds was the 14 year old boys’ council winner and the District 11 champion for his age group by hitting 16 out of 25.

The girls representing our council had another bang-up year.  Carrie Semeke was the 10 year old girls’ council winner by hitting 6 out of 15 free throws.  The 11 year old girls’ council winner was Halie Chmura who hit 12 out of 15.  Halie was also the District 11 winner for her age group by hitting 20 out of 25 free throws.  Bethany Ebbitt was the 12 year old girls’ council winner and the District 11 champion for her age group by hitting 10 out of 25.  The 13 year old girls’ council winner was Chloe Wall who hit 9 out of 15.  Hannah Semeke was the 14 year old girls’ council winner by hitting 11 out of 15 and the District 11 champion by hitting 18 out of 25 free throws.
