January's opportunities are past, but we will have new ones that we can participate in.  If anyone was able to attend any of the events locally, or in NC, or the big event in DC, let me know.  You might like to come and share your experience with your brother knights. 

The 40 Days for Life Campaign will take place again during Lent, an excellent time for some sacrifice.  Remember the event is not just praying across from the abortion center here in Winston-Salem, it also consists of prayers and sacrifices at home work and play offered up to God for the intention of stopping the abortion holocaust in the United States and even the world.  We have been asked to cover those 5 PM - 8 PM hours.  And we will be working with the councils from Holy Family and Our Lady of Mercy.  We will be covering the days from April 4-15.  The vigil starts and closes early on Saturday, so we will not be needed on that day.  I would appreciate it if you could call me (336 765-6292) and volunteer before I call you.  This is almost 2 months away, and many may not know schedules yet.  But I will be calling during March for your participation.  It is best to have 2 or more knights there praying and holding vigil.  Unless it is raining or cold, this is not difficult or even scary.  Occasionally someone might demonstrate one of their digits in a negative way, but most give a thumbs up.  Plan to come out and join the effort against abortion.  You are needed.
